Wild Senna

Wild Senna (Senna hebecarpa) is a perennial forb native to Eastern and Midwestern US states (such as Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and Tennessee) that can thrive in USDA Zones 4–8. Reaching a mature height of 4–6 feet with an upright branching growth habit, it features compound leaves with light green leaflets and produces showy clusters of yellow flowers followed by long, dark seed pods. It thrives in moist soils, floodplain meadows, and river margins and is ideal for wetland buffer zones, pollinator habitat creation, and wildlife cover.
