This perennial, warm season grass is known to grow well in droughty, infertile soils throughout the eastern portions of the United States. Reaching 3-6 feet in height, it prefers full to partial sunlight and competes well with some of the other warm season grasses. Shallow plantings into a firm seedbed at 10-20 pls lbs/acre in the spring are recommended.
