Festuca arundinacea, var. Fawn
Fawn Tall Fescue (Festuca arundinacea) is a perennial grass native to central and southern US states (such as Kentucky, Virginia, and Missouri) and has also been successfully introduced across North America as a non-invasive turf and forage grass that can thrive in USDA Zones 3–9. Reaching a mature height of 2–4 feet with an upright clumping growth habit, it features dark green, coarse leaf blades and produces open, nodding panicles. It thrives in a wide variety of soils from dry to poorly drained in full sun to partial shade and is ideal for agricultural pasture grazing, soil stabilization, and waterway vegetation.
