Entire Leaf Rosinweed

Silphium integrifolium
Entire-leaf Rosinweed (Silphium integrifolium) is a perennial forb native to Midwestern and Plains US states (such as Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska) that can thrive in USDA Zones 3–8. Reaching a mature height of 3–6 feet with an upright rigid growth habit, it features smooth, stalkless, opposite green leaves and produces bright yellow sunflower-like flower heads. It thrives in deep, dry to mesic prairie soils and is ideal for tallgrass prairie conservation, gamebird habitat, and native pollinator corridors.
