Aster, Flat Top

Flat Top Aster (Doellingeria umbellata) is a perennial forb native to northern and eastern US states (such as Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York, and Maine) that can thrive in USDA Zones 3–7. Reaching a mature height of 2–7 feet with an upright branching growth habit, it features lance-shaped green leaves and produces broad, flat-topped clusters of small white flowers with yellow centers. It thrives in moist, acidic soils in full sun to partial shade and is ideal for wetland restoration, habitat conservation, and naturalized stormwater basins.
